Ski touring course

New to backountry skiing? Join a course and learn how to plan and carry out your own safe tours.

The first day we start with an hour indoors to clear our expectations and make a plan for the tour, as well as some practical use of map and compass, reading the weather forcast and avalanche warnings. On the tour we talk about finding the safe way up and a safe descend with the best snow conditions. If you need tips for skiing technique on varying snow cover, we will spend some time on it. We do a thorough review of avalanche equipment and rescue, as well as what you should bring in your backpack.
